Making the garden a true extension of the home

We were thrilled to be selected to install this self-designed (the client was a landscape architect!) scheme which seamlessly blends in with the current home and it’s surroundings. Nestled in the Cheshire countryside, this project is a true testament to subtle design and creating an area which fits perfectly. From the large, raised patio area and adjacent built-in outdoor kitchen to the sun trapped additional seating area, it’s easy to fall in love with this project.

All the space you need

Running the width of the rear of the home is the beautiful raised terrace. It’s supported by a number of dwarf walls, which we built with matching brick to the home for consistency. Coming out of the home you walk onto the terrace which is flush with the large bifold doors. The key to achieving the overall look was the paving choice. We went with Sawn Versuro Sandstone which is a lovely indian sandstone and complemented the existing colours and textures perfectly.

Authentic cooking experience

Stepping down the main raised terrance onto the matching pathway, we installed a new planting scheme between the path and the large windows to give an instant natural connection when looking out from the home. The path takes you to the spectacular L-shaped outdoor kitchen which contains a traditional wood-fired pizza oven. The pizza oven was insulated and rendered and a detailed brick archway created at the entrance for full authenticity.

Chasing the sun

In a garden and location as stunning as this one, we knew there was scope for more than just the main terrace. We’re constantly looking at how to maximise the enjoyment and usability of outdoor locations and create multi-use spaces. With the sun hitting the bottom of the garden in the early morning, we installed a much cosier patio & seating area our clients could enjoy their morning coffee in.
